Our lettuce isn't the only thing that's green.
Our jars (#1 plastic) & lids are 100% recyclable, & we provide on-site recycling at the kiosk.
Wood on the kiosk is reclaimed barn wood.
Bags, utensils (+ packaging) & salad dressing containers are made from biodegradable/recyclable, corn-based PLA.
Napkins are made from 100% recycled paper.
We operate from a licensed, shared-use kitchen, which equals less of an environmental footprint.
Kiosk power consumption under $25/month. Compared to a traditional restaurant it's waaaaay more energy efficient (which is a totally scientific estimate).
We choose suppliers like Chicago's own Local Foods, who are passionate about good food & committed to strengthening our local, Midwest food system. Testa Produce is also another green partner. And of course, we hit the farmer's market whenever we get the chance.
Make a difference.
We’re happy to help, but using your own fork is even better. Because the fewer we order, the less environmental impact there is (think production & transportation).
